From the festival (Instagram, Sept 6): “Winding down…! I head on stage at 2:30am at the Lodge! So much awesome everywhere you go! From the workshops to the kids zone to the 3 stages, the music and vendors… Weather has been perfection! Get on down here to Labyrinth Lake Lodge!”
💜 You ELEVATE Me: Empathy, Love, Expression, Vision, Acceptance, Togetherness & Evolution 🦋 (May I also ELEVATE you!)
This set of tunes features my new release "Elevate the Space" (West Cove Recordings) and also… it brought me something so wonderfully validating as a tunez selecta… when we (djs) merge sounds, push buttons, finesse sliders and twist knobs at appropriate times, sometimes we can experience the magnificent results we're looking for manifest on a dancefloor, they are not always quantifiable.. essentially, people respond with smiles, laughs, moments.. they move their body to the beat and cadence of the music… the frequencies of it all elicit pure pleasure and abandonment of self … escape and elation… the fruits of a DJ job well done… A full and happy dance floor, people cheering on a breakdown, cheering at a drop, enjoying and communicating with each other, feeling the music, feeling the beats and bass, with a well calibrated sound system present that isn't too loud that we can not only speak, but feel each other.. this is why I DJ!! So much gratitude for this experience. 🥹🔥
Well okay friends, sure….. if you insist.. I will keep making, selecting, and playing music for you until the end of my days!!! 😭🔥💜
IYKYK… Phew! My heart was, and still is sooooo full of… 🤔.. it's an indescribable feeling that lands somewhere between utter gratitude and absolute awe with a lot of humility… and oh so much love!! 😍🥲 this mix was a dance floor transformation…
It means the world to me that so many friends, and new faces were out there having a time.. That you all showed up with your hearts open, vibes vibin and smiles beaming! Mmm hmmm! This is what it's all about.. COMM-UNITY! Thank you! 🙏🥰
The end of this mix has some nostalgia with a few fave tracks from my set last year at the Outpost… My new track "Elevate the Space" and a friend's track request.. (Fancy $hit!) who didn't make it to my set?!! You know who you are…. 🍑👋
Warning, this set has some slightly naughty stuff… 🥸
Full tracklist coming soon…

For the first time, I've been able to properly record a mix through a pioneer mixer.. which is awesome! I recorded this on my iPad using the DJM-Rec app… Unfortunately there's no microphone recording… so on occasion, when I was speaking, I was turning down the music…
I find recording my set, captures some of the moments, the feels and vibes, the people present and everything are somewhat imprinted onto the recording… Frequencies are like that.. many are only felt… or perceived through all the senses at once, not just the ears, resulting in emotions and goosebumpy vibrations, deep connections and healing experiences… 🌈🎼🎶🎵💜
The Wind Down Festival (formerly Bass Camp) and the people behind it are very dear to me! I'm grateful to be a part of this dynamic and driven crew of beautiful people. <3 ∞ thewinddown.ca ∞ <3
